Recipe Ingredients
1 cup sifted flour
1¼ cups sifted granulated sugar
10 small egg whites
½ teaspoonful cream tartar
Salt
Preparation and cooking instructions
First sift the flour, then the sugar. Now add a little salt
to the egg whites and begin to beat; after a while add the
cream of tartar then beat again until the egg whites become
very stiff. Next lightly stir in the sugar, and then the flour.
Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 35 to 50 minutes.
