Jelly and Jam Making
* When adding the sugar to the fruit remove the pan from
the heat.
* The amount of sugar used in making jelly will depend on
the type of fruit used. Granulated sugar is the type of sugar
generally used when making jelly and gives a good result but
you may prefer to use preserving sugar.
* If you warm the sugar in the oven before adding to the
fruit it will help to keep the fruit looking bright and colorful
and will also help the sugar dissolve more quickly
* It is important that all the sugar has dissolved before
boiling the jelly otherwise the jam may spoil.
