Recipe Ingredients

8oz self-rising flour
4oz butter (softened)
3 tablespoons milk
4oz superfine sugar (caster sugar)

Cookies preparation & cooking instructions

Prepare a baking sheet.
Begin by mixing together the self-rising flour and the superfine sugar. Then add the butter. Using your fingertips rub the butter iSnto the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Next add the milk and knead the mixture until it becomes a soft dough. Now roll the mixture into balls about the size of a Quarter (10 pence).
Put the balls onto the prepared baking sheet and press down to flatten a little to a cookie shape.

Bake at 375°F (190°C) for twenty minutes or until golden brown
