But if you are a vegetarian, or just prefer not to use meat,
it tastes just as delicious made with Quorn® or any other
meat substitute product.

1 small onion, shredded (grated)
1 large carrot, shredded (grated)
Half a pint of, prepared from mix, gravy
Salt and Pepper to season
1 largish potato, shredded (grated)
And for the topping:
2lbs potatoes
A little butter
A little milk

Preparation and cooking instructions
Peel and then cut up 2lbs of potatoes. Put the potatoes
into a saucepan and rinse them well in cold water, drain off
the cold water and then add boiling water to the saucepan
with a little salt. Bring to the boil and then simmer until
the potatoes are tender, drain off the water. Using a hand-held
whisk, vegetable masher or fork, mash the potatoes a little,
then add a little butter and a little milk. Continue mashing
until the potatoes are smooth and creamy, adding a little
more butter if needed.
Put the cooked beef into a baking dish, then add the shredded
onion, shredded carrot and gravy and season with salt and
pepper. Stir together well. Spoon the mashed potato on top
and carefully spread out to cover the meat mixture. With a
fork make small peaks in the mashed potato. Bake for approximately
thirty minutes at 400°F(200°C).
