This dish will serve between four and six people
Recipe Ingredients
¾ pint of beer
2lbs chuck steak (cubed)
3 onions (thinly sliced)
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
1 garlic clove (minced)
1 bay leaf
Salt and Pepper, to season
Preparation and cooking instructions
Preheat the oven to 300°F(150°C)
Heat the oil in a large flameproof casserole. When hot add
the cubed meat and brown them. Remove the meat from the casserole
and set to one side.
Put the onions and garlic into the casserole and cook until
soft. Reduce the heat and return the meat to the casserole,
stir in the flour.
Gradually add the beer, add the bay leaf, season with salt
and pepper and stir well.
Cover and bake in the oven at 300°F(150°C) for approximately
2¼ hours.
