Shrimps in a light creamy pink lemon sauce served on crisp
lettuce or mixed salad leaves, in individual glasses or on
plates will make an ideal starter for your dinner party. The
quantities we have given here are a guide only, you may wish
to alter them according to taste.
Recipe Ingredients
This recipe will serve six
4 cups or 1lb of cooked and peeled shrimps
4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
4 tablespoons of heavy cream lightly whipped
Just enough ketchup to make the sauce pale pink in color
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce or a few drops of Tabasco
sauce
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Salt and ground black pepper
Crisp lettuce leaves
Lemon wedges
Shrimp Cocktail Preparation Instructions
One-third fill individual glasses with shredded lettuce leaves,
or arrange lettuce leaves on serving plates.
Next, in a bowl mix together the mayonnaise, lemon juice
and ketchup. Then stir in the cream and add the Worcestershire
or Tabasco sauce, salt and pepper. Add the shrimps to the
sauce and stir together.
Spoon mixture onto the lettuce and serve with wedges of lemon.
