Mixed nuts can be served just as they are, piled high in
the center of a dish. Or for something a little different
arrange a pile of raisins in the middle of a glass serving
dish and strew with blanched almonds.
Alternatively try the following recipe.
Recipe Ingredients
9 oz of unsalted nuts and seeds, these could include a selection
of the following:
Peanuts
Almond nuts
Cashew nuts
Pecan nuts
Filbert nuts
walnuts
Pumpkin seeds
Sunflower seeds
A level teaspoon of salt
One ounce of melted butter
A good pinch of cayenne pepper
Preparation and cooking instructions
Preheat the oven to 300°F
Place the nuts and seeds of your choice into a bowl. Add the
melted butter, sprinkle over the salt and cayenne pepper and
mix together well. Turn onto a baking sheet. Bake until golden,
stirring occasionally.
You may wish to adjust the amount of salt and cayenne pepper
to suit your taste.
